Top Six Malaysian Teams From Realme’s PUBG League To Compete In Regional Finale On June 24
Who’ll end up on top?
The grand final of the realme League in collaboration with PUBG’s Regional Tournament will take place from June 24 until 26, with six teams from the region competing.
The Malaysian teams that will be competing in the grand finals are Glazer, Team HAQ, VIP Squad V2, Marlino AllStar, The Academy and Team Todak. These teams will join 24 other teams from other SEA countries in the grand final.
PMPL has had an overwhelming response from PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) fans across Southeast Asia so far. A total of 128 teams battled it out from the start of the tournament, instead of the originally intended 64.
“We are proud to see the passion and enthusiasm we received from our Malaysian PUBG Mobile fans who have registered to participate in the realme PUBG League,” said Realme’s brand director Crystal.
“We did not expect to see such excitement from our local teams, and we are happy to have been the brand to host such an exciting regional event, in support of the local talents within the eSports community,” she added.
The smartphone brand has put a lot of effort into this tournament to attract eSports fans across the region, especially in Malaysia by inviting popular streamers such as Soloz, who has over 1.5million YouTube subscribers, as a special guest to the events.
In the regional-level grand finals, the top three winners will walk away with the following prizes
- Grand prize: US$2,000 and a realme SupremeGT Experience Officer (4x GT Neo 3 + next Generation of GT products)
- Runner-up Prize: 4x GT Neo 3
- 2nd Runner-up Prize: 4x Buds Air 3
