There’s always room for more and more fandom-based conventions to take center stage and offer a fun event for fans of comics, games, and anime to hang out under one roof. One such convention, Noizu, is gearing up for NoizuCon 2022.

Returning for its seventh year and formerly known as ServerDNA, NoizuCon is a Malaysian gaming industry event that is happening at the Le’ Meridien, Putrajaya on October 15 and 16. The aim of the event is to facilitate new partnerships, deep knowledge sharing, and celebrate all things gaming.

The event promises non-stop giveaways during every activity, which is a major highlight considering the fact that it is a free event. On-ground activities include cosplay showcases and cosplay meets, as well as VTuber Idol appearances and presentations by various gaming-related brands.

NoizuCon will also feature a series of expert-led sharing on key game industry topics as well as new games and key products throughout the weekend. Attendees have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the future of gaming.

Attendees of NoizuCon 2022 can meet up to 80 streamers and cosplayers live and up-close, as well as meet and mingle with like-minded individuals that make up the gaming communities of Malaysia.

One of the more unique attractions for NoizuCon is their healthy gaming initiative, which includes health screenings for gamers by E-Medica as well as a presentation on the benefits of doing sports through video games.

There’s also the introduction of the Speed Friendship+ event, a platonic version of speed dating where attendees can make new friends through fast-paced meeting sessions. One may just meet a gaming buddy for life through this event.

On top of the many gaming tournaments happening throughout the weekend, NoizuCon will also play host to season two of the V-Idol Singing Competition; think of it as an online version of American Idol where the contestants are VTubers.

Open to VTubers from all over the world, the grand prize will be a professionally made character design, a fully rigged model of the design, as well as a release of the winner’s song as an original single organized and sponsored by Comfy Guild, Medibeats Productions and supported by VTube Studio.
