Someone Completed The Impossible US$20,000 LASO Halo 2 Challenge
Nothing is impossible for a true Spartan.
Earlier this summer, YouTuber Moistcr1tikal said that he would reward someone $5,000 if they could video themselves beating Halo 2 on Legendary difficulty with all skulls on except the Envy skull without dying. Nobody had done it by July, so he raised the prize to $20,000.
The term "LASO" refers to completing a Halo campaign on its hardest difficulty — Legendary — with all of the gameplay-modifying Skulls turned on (LASO standing for ‘Legendary All Skulls On’).
A Halo streamer by the name of JerValiN managed to beat the no-death LASO challenge after spending reportedly over 40 days of practising and grinding to achieve the perfect run. He took under just 7 hours to complete the previously impossible achievement.
The streamer earned the game's final kill and then seemed to be chill about it until his family stormed into the room, shouting with delight. He rejoiced with his family while the game's credits and ending cinematic played in the background.
On YouTube, Moistcr1tikal commented on the challenge, saying how he knew someone would do the feat that was otherwise regarded impossible by viewers and participants. He also mentioned how the bounty brought people together and was a wholesome experience.
The challenge attracted new fans to both JerValiN’s channel. JerValiN noted that his follower count increased from 3,000 to over 32k, with an increase in views, subscriptions, and contributions. Moistcr1tikal also mentioned that this event boosted lesser streams.
