Ubisoft May Have Just Teased An 'Assassin's Creed' Remake
We might be playing as Altair again.
Assassin’s Creed is considered one of the most iconic titles to have ever graced the gaming industry. Fans consider Assassin’s Creed II to be the best entry while Black Flag is a close runner-up. With that said, however, the first Assassin’s Creed is definitely a genre-defining game which built the foundation for these great titles.
YouTuber AccessTheAnimus pointed out on Twitter that Ubisoft's new anniversary trailer for the series features upgraded graphics from the original game. This, alongside the fact that it is the final game to be recognised in the anniversary roadmap before the next Assassin's Creed Special Event later this year, has some fans speculating whether an Assassin's Creed is on the cards The logo change is also fueling the hype train.

For now, all that remains is a rumour. However, we can hope that Ubisoft actually considers bringing back Altair to modern consoles.
If Ubisoft decides to actually remake the original game, we can see the distinct evolution of the game. The series used to be considerably more linear and focused on stealth but today, it’s an open-world action RPG with little stealth. Of course, some people welcome this evolution, but many fans miss the old essence of Assassin's Creed.
